INSTRUCTIONS
For Cooking on the Grill:
Prepare the Grill:
Do not thaw frozen veggie burgers; they can go directly from the freezer or cooler to the grill.
Set the grill to medium heat. Do not oil the grates.
Preheat the grill for 10 minutes with the lid closed.
Cook the Patties:
If your veggie burger package includes grilling instructions, follow them.
If there are no instructions, cook the patties for about 5 minutes per side.
Flip carefully and only once to prevent the patties from falling apart.
For Cooking on a Griddle or Skillet:
Prepare the Patties:
Lightly whisk one egg in a shallow dish.
Dip the veggie patty into the egg, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
Coat the patty with panko breadcrumbs.
Fry the Patties:
Heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry the patty until it’s golden-brown and crispy on both sides.
Assemble the Veggie Burgers:
Toast the buns lightly, if desired.
Spread hummus on one or both sides of the bun.
Layer the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the bottom bun.
Add the cooked veggie patty.
Top with avocado slices or mashed avocado.
Place the top bun on and serve immediately.
Pro Tips:
Add your favorite condiments, like mustard or vegan mayo, for extra flavor.
Use sturdy buns to prevent them from becoming soggy.
