Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches
Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches

Prep Time: 3 Minutes

Cook Time: 5 Minutes

Wheat or white bread, peanut butter and berry jam. Prepared cold or grilled. Served with seasonal fruit.

INGREDIENTS (Per Sandwich)

  • 2 slices of bread

  • 2–3 tablespoons of peanut butter

  • Jam

  • Butter (for grilling)

INSTRUCTIONS


Preparation Steps:

  1. Preheat the skillet or griddle over medium heat.
    Make sure the cooking surface is evenly heated to prevent burning.

  2. Assemble the Sandwich: Spread peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread, add jam.
    Top with the second slice of bread to create the sandwich.

  3. Butter the Outside of the Bread: Lightly spread butter on the outside of both slices of bread. This will help the bread turn golden and crispy when grilled.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Grill the Sandwich: Place the sandwich on the preheated skillet or griddle.
    Cook for 2–3 minutes on one side, pressing lightly with the spatula.
    Check the underside; it should be golden brown and crisp.

  2. Flip and Cook the Other Side: Carefully flip the sandwich with a spatula.
    Grill for another 2–3 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the peanut butter is warm and gooey.

For variations, add sliced bananas, jelly, or chocolate chips before grilling.
