Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 20 Minutes

A classic American breakfast; eggs, hash browns, ham, bacon or sausage.

INGREDIENTS

  • Eggs (as many as needed)

  • Ham, bacon and/or sausage

  • Hash browns (shredded or patty-style)

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

  • Optional toppings: cheese, hot sauce, chives, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation Steps:

  1. Preheat the griddle or cast iron skillets over medium heat for a few minutes.

  2. Gather all Ingredients from the cooler.

  3. Prepare Ingredients: Crack eggs into a bowl (if scrambling), season with salt and pepper, and whisk.

Cooking Instructions:

1. Start with Bacon or Sausage (Griddle or Skillet):

  • Place bacon strips or sausage patties/links on the hot griddle or skillet.

  • Cook bacon for 4–5 minutes per side, or until crispy. For sausage, cook until browned on both sides and fully cooked through (160°F for sausage).

  • Move cooked meat to a paper towel-lined plate to drain grease.

  • Leave a small amount of grease on the griddle/skillet for flavor.

2. Cook Hash Browns:

  • Add a small amount of cooking oil or butter to the griddle/skillet if needed (or use the leftover bacon grease).

  • Spread shredded hash browns in an even layer or place hash brown patties directly on the griddle.

  • Press lightly with a spatula for a crispy texture.

  • Cook for 4–6 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 4–6 minutes.

  • Season with salt and pepper.

  • Move to serving plate, tent with foil/cover to keep warm.

3. Finish with Eggs:

  • For fried eggs, lightly grease the skillet or griddle. Crack eggs directly onto the surface. Cook sunny-side up or flip for over-easy, over-medium, or over-hard as desired.

  • For scrambled eggs, add a small pat of butter or oil to the skillet. Pour the whisked eggs into the pan. Stir gently with a spatula until they reach your preferred consistency (soft or firm).

  • Season with salt and pepper, and add optional toppings like cheese or chives.

SERVE: Plate the hash browns, bacon/sausage, and eggs.
