INGREDIENTS per one serving
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled, steel-cut, or instant oats
1 cup water
Pinch of Salt
1 cup milk, almond, coconut, soy milk (optional)
Honey, brown sugar, or maple syrup.
Cinnamon
Pecans or walnuts
Dried cranberries

INSTRUCTIONS
Bring a kettle of water to a boil.
Using a dry measuring cup, measure and pour ½ cup of oats into a cereal bowl.
Add a pinch of salt to the dry oats.
Once the water reaches a boil, pour the boiling water over the oats. For softer oats, use about 1¼ cups of water. For thicker oatmeal us ¾-1 cup of water.
Stir the oats continuously as you drizzle in the water.
Let them sit for several minutes, the oats will puff up and thicken as they cook.
When oats are soft add your fillings and toppings of choice, top with your desired milk.
